Duties and Role:  
Under the overall direction of the Service Owner and Service Delivery Manager, the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:
  • Administer, configure, and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC.
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for AWS-related issues, investigating and resolving operational problems in a timely manner.
  • Provision and maintain virtual machines, storage, and databases on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage and optimize AWS networking components like VPCs, subnets, route tables, VPNs, and Direct Connect.
  • Automate the deployment and management of AWS resources using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Develop scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks, such as instance management, backups, and scaling
  • Perform other duties, as may be required
Requirements:
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
  • The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • Have a graduate degree in Computer and Information Systems Technology or an equivalent level of qualification or professional accreditation by a related engineering Institute or professional body
  • Be fluent English in both spoken and written.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS cloud environment (IAM, EC2, ALB, Cloudfront, Cloudformation, WAF, Monitoring, Storage, Cognito)
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Proficiency in managing and securing VPC networks, firewalls, and access control.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus).
