Duties & Role:
The IWC Junior Project Manager will act as Co-Project Manager on a number of projects supporting the assigned Senior or Principal PM. Tasks will be to provide support in terms of:
Project management:
- Supports the definition, documentation and successful completion of projects including transition into the operations.
- Monitors costs, times, quality and resources used and takes action where these exceed agreed tolerances.
- Applies appropriate project management methods and tools.
- Applies effective project monitoring and control processes, change control, risk management and quality processes.
- Identifies risks and vulnerabilities, assesses their impact and probability, develops mitigation strategies and reports to the business.
- Acts as a routine contact point between the organisation and suppliers concerning contract management.
- Supports the collection of contract performance data.
- Creates standard reports on contract performance.
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
- Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
- Recent experience (less than 3 years old) in Project management of C4ISR acquisition and / or development projects for a large organization.
- Experience in Project Management tools, managing cost and labour, preferably SNOW
- Relevant experience in project administration (resource management, project financing and budgeting)
- A recognised formal Project Management qualification, such as PRINCE2 or PMP. The lack of formal qualifications can be compensated by the demonstration of expertise and experience in the domain
- Relevant experience in leading a cross functional team, preferably in international environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System;
- Risk Management certification (e.g. APMG Management of Risks)
