We're a fast-growing financial services/fintech lender focused on delivering modern funding solutions to small and mid-market businesses. As we scale, we're investing heavily in marketing technology and AI to reach customers more effectively and responsibly. This role is part of an early-stage investment in marketing systems and AI capabilities.
The role:
This is the first hire focused on architecting AI-driven marketing solutions. You'll build prototypes, evaluate vendor/partner options, and implement integrations across our marketing stack so that AI delivers measurable customer and revenue impact.
What you'll do (high level):
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI-powered marketing initiatives (discovery → prototype → production → optimization).
- Evaluate AI vendors, APIs, and platforms; recommend approaches that balance impact, cost and risk.
- Design and implement integrations across CRM, analytics, and MarTech systems to improve personalization and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Engineering to embed models and API-driven automations into customer journeys.
- Build training materials, reusable prompt libraries, and governance around AI use.
- Present roadmaps and ROI-driven recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Prototypes that move into production and measurably improve conversion, engagement or operational effort.
- Robust, maintainable integrations that enable non-technical teams to safely use AI tools.
- Clear documentation, training, and governance enabling scaled adoption.
- 5+ years working at the intersection of marketing and technology (MarTech, growth marketing, marketing ops, or similar).
- Hands-on technical skills: advanced SQL, experience with APIs and integrations, and scripting ability (Python or JavaScript).
- Practical experience building with generative AI or model APIs beyond chatbots (prompt engineering, multi-step prompt flows, multi-agent patterns, or custom model deployments).
- Strong grounding in performance and lifecycle marketing.
- Excellent communicator — able to translate technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure as an early hire.
- Experience evaluating or implementing third-party AI platforms for marketing.
- Prior experience in fintech, lending, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with data pipeline best practices and basic model governance.
